New Home Building Fund
The Government has unveiled the Home Building Fund, which will provide development loans to community-led providers including CLTs. The loans can be up to £250m for up to 5 years and interest will be charged at commercial rates. The Fund will also provide infrastructure loans for site preparation and the infrastructure needed to enable housing to progress. Applicants must be planning to build at least 5 homes in England that wouldn't progress quickly, or at all, without this finance.
